2020 Tenor Grenache
The 2020 Tenor Grenache was crafted from the Thunderstone vineyard in the Royal Slope AVA. Farmed using sustainable practices, the vines were limited to one or two clusters per shoot for maximum concentration. They were hand-harvested in the early mornings between September and October 2020. Upon arriving in the winery, each cluster was hand-sorted, berry-sorted, and fermented in stainless steel. Using only the free-run wine, it was moved to 69% new French oak and 31% neutral French oak barrels for 22 months of cellaring. After our most rigorous selection process, only 3 of our highest-grade barrels were selected and bottled, producing 160 cases.Bottle: $90
ShopTasting Notes
On the palate, notes of raspberry Danish, black tea and strawberry preserves are met with dried rose petals. Silky, refined tannins and a finish of lingering fresh-picked berries and crushed flowers. This wine is inherently drinkable.
