Tasting Notes
An explosive nose of plum skin, black currants, cassis, wood spice, and graphite. Stunning fruit and purity in this Cabernet. The palate is ripe and textured with thick black fruit, fine tannins, and a great lift at the finish. Never over the top but fulfilling everything you want in a full throttle new world Cab.

Awards & Accolades
"All of these latest releases from Tenor Wines show stunning purity of fruit, and the 2012 1:1 is no exception. A blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Cabernet Franc and 5% Merlot that spent 21 months in 100% new French oak, it has a fresh, focused style in its blackberry, black raspberry, spice, graphite and discrete oak aromas and flavors. Tight, moderately tannic, medium to full-bodied, and seamless, I’d like to see more breadth and depth through the mid-palate (especially at the price), but it has lots to like, and I suspect, will evolve nicely for 15 years or more."
