The 2016 Tenor Chardonnay was crafted from a single vineyard along the Royal Slope in the Columbia Valley AVA. Farmed using sustainable practices, the vines were hand-harvested over several early mornings. Upon arriving in the winery, using only free-run wine, the whole clusters were hand-sorted and went immediately into the press. They were then 100% barrel fermented in 228L French oak barrels (45% new), stirred weekly for the first 3 months before being stirred once a month for the remainder of their 17 month aging. After nearly 50 individual evaluations by our winemaking team, only 210 cases were selected and bottled, without fining or filtration, in the spring of 2018.
