Tasting Notes

The nose starts with honey, peach pit, a light toastiness, white nut oil and a citrus cream. Swirling brings un-buttered popcorn and a caramel sweetness mixed with citrus and spice. The palate has a creamy beginning giving way to citrus rind and a structured finish. This is angular without the aggression, and rich without being decadent.

Awards & Accolades

"A solid, possibly outstanding Chardonnay that needs a year or so to come together, the 2011 Chardonnay, which is 100% Chardonnay and spent 10 months in neutral barrel, offers up a clean, classy array of citrus, white peach, buttered bread and hints of flowers as well as a medium-bodied, rich mouthfeel and good acidity on the finish. Give it another 6-12 months and plan on drinking bottles through 2017. Drink 2014-2017. These are serious, well-made efforts that are priced at a premium."
