2016Sauvignon Blanc

The 2016 Tenor Sauvignon Blanc was crafted from a single vineyard in Washington State along the Royal Slope in the Columbia Valley. Farmed using sustainable practices and then hand-harvested over several early mornings in the late fall. Upon arriving in the winery, each cluster was de-stemmed and hand-sorted again, then initially macerated in stainless steel tanks for 24-48 hours with twice-daily pump-overs. After pressing, the juice was allowed to settle out overnight before being immediately barreled in 100% oak. Using only free run wine, it was then moved to new French oak 300L barrels (50%) and stainless steel tanks (50%) for 8 months of cellaring. After over 40 individual evaluations by our winemaking team and without fining or filtration, only 170 cases were produced.

Tasting Notes

Grassy notes of citrus, white peach, pastry and key lime. Richer but fresh with nice structure and tension framing the green citrus and spice. Polished with good length and enough tension to age 3-5 more years. If opened now, allow some air to open this wine up.
